Bodil and me running Horse, a kinetic sculpture at The Lab at a benefit for 23 five, 1997. | ||||
The piece imitated a horse. It had four legs with springs for muscles, and a bike wheel for the guts. There were motors mounted on each of the legs, which were activated serially as the bike wheel turned, by wires that sparked when each connection was made. In the animation, you can see Bodil sending sound sources from the machine to Thomas Dimuzio for processing with a baby listener. |
